Smart Snacking At The Office

Snacking at work can be dangerous…particularly on the waistline.  Here are some quick tips to save you calories….

 

IN THE VENDING MACHINE

SunChips – 140 calories

Each bag has a third less far than regular potato chips, plus 2 grams of fiber.

Quaker Chewy Granola Bar – 100 calories

This whole grain treat will satisfy your sweet tooth for about 8 grams of sugar

 

AT THE CONVENIENCE STORE

Dried Apricots – 106 calories

Contains plenty of vision boosting vitamins

Roasted Pistachios – 158 calories for about 50 nuts

Having to shell them prevents you from gobbling down too quickly

 

FROM THE COFFEE CART

Almond Biscotti – 145 calories

Choose these over a blueberry muffin and you’ll save at least 300 calories

Nonfat Latte – 100 calories

Contains about 10 grams of protein and a third of your daily calcium quota
